Today, we followed Snoopy on his missions to the moon and Mars. I found a free NASA/Snoopy lesson plan about the Apollo 10 mission, the spacecraft Orion, and Mars. Since We learned that Orion uses parachutes to land, we took our toy parachuter out for some fun. It was windy, so we got good lift, but had to chase him around a bit. Afterwards, we brought out the kinetic sand so the kids could pretend to land on the moon or Mars. (We reused our space shuttle craft from the other day too.)

Alistair also made a great drawing of Snoopy. He followed a how-to-draw video for kids that used letters for shapes. It was cute… I think he did a great job!
