We had fun making our own constellations—a Mickey head and an “A” for Alistair. (You can either look directly into the tube or shine a flashlight through it onto the wall.
I also helped the kids make name rockets. They enjoyed decorating the background.
The simplest, most entertaining thing I did was crumple up a piece of black construction paper and throw it at them while I saying, “Dodge the asteroid!” They found it hilarious. 😆
We had our own “lunch and learn” by watching a few educational solar/system-themed videos during lunch. (StoryBots was a favorite!)
Finally, we tried an astronaut’s dessert in a bag (vanilla pudding). They were weirded out by the bag. I had to tell them the secret as to what it was before they’d even try it.
