At first I didn’t know what I was going to do. I told the kids not to expect much, since we don’t actually have any Winnie the Pooh toys or accessories. But after searching “100 Acre Woods” on Pinterest, I was inspired to go with a picnic theme! I tried to made it look like we were expecting Pooh and his friends to come by for a visit any minute. I was really happy with how it turned out!

I left the tablescape up for breakfast—it felt so fancy! Even with the paper plates. For breakfast, we tried some honey on our waffles, but decided we still preferred syrup.

Afterwards, we made some oozing, honey dough. It was cool… if you played with it, it was kinda tough and crumbly. But if you held it still or put it on the table, it oozed.

(As a side note, I’ve decided that all Pinterest claims of “no mess” activities are like saying a small, cramped house is “cozy.” It’s perhaps less messy than, say, throwing paint against the wall on purpose. 😅)

The kids rounded out the day by drawing Eeyore and playing “pin the tail on the donkey.” Poor ol’ Eeyore! 😄
